Sci Fi RP REDUX

[Jamie Canyon]

/The girl glanced downward, suddenly aware of her tiredness as if a weighted cloak had been placed on her shoulders. Her arms dropped to her side and she nodded... Running her fingers through her hair, she sighed/

/Ana/: Perhaps you're right...

/With one quick glance to Nathan, she realized there were enough nurses to watch Nathan. Kai seemed to be in good hands.... It was her turn to take care of herself. She snatched her backpack before exiting the tent, almost colliding with a guard on her way out who then led her to the others.../

/Meanwhile, in the council tent, Ivan was hoping for some sort of direction for their team, for the situation, the dangers at hand... He was willing to trade, negotiate, anything to help both parties./

[Makastar]

/Perli eyed the human with interest, others within the council's tent cautious in their discussions/

/Perli/: So, what is it you seek from us? You speak of these harbringers of death to our home. What can we do to stop it?

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan/: Well, first off, I'd like to say that we appreciate your protection and your healing services... It was much needed, so thank-you...

/There was a slight silence, so Ivan continued with a clear of his throat/

/Ivan/: We didn't intentionally mean to come across your village, but I do think it was fate that we did... This invasion of this alien enemy is so great in number that it will destroy our people and civilizations before the end of the second moon...I now believe that we should join forces, to protect the planet we call home.

[Makastar]

/Another alien narrowed his golden eyes at Ivan/

/.../: Bold words from the creatures that invaded our lands and threatened our kind in the first place...

/Perli/: Broach...

/Broach/: My lady, these creatures have threatened us for some time now. And now that they are no longer the biggest threat do they come to us with tails between their legs...

/Perli shook her head as she gestured to Ivan/

/Perli/: You are warriors correct? You have weapons...training clearly...well some of you anyway.

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan/: ... We are warriors, we have weapons, and training... All of which you have as well. Which is why I want to urge us to possibly join forces against these invaders...

[Makastar]

/Perli/: And if we accept this, what guarantees can you provide to our people. That you would not turn on us.

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan/: We made a pact of peace long ago... We marked our lands, we stayed on our lands, and we didn't mess with one another for many years... Is that not proof enough that we will do the same now? You don't want anything from us except for us to leave your land, your people, and your culture alone... am I mistaken?

[Makastar]

/Broach/: Ha, these creatures lie. Truly they jest.

/Perli/: Broach.

/Broach/: my lady, they do not honor the treaty. Their people have hunted in our lands, stolen our crops, stolen our resources, injured our people...even killed...

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan/: Have your people also not stolen our weapons, crossed our boarders, injured my soldiers? We've done our best to keep those who have done wrong kept in line... My superiors want peace, we'll do whatever we can to keep and maintain it.

[Makastar]

/Broach/: Your people invaded our planet before any of this even-!

/Perli/: Enough!

/The woman stepped forward to tower over Ivan/

/Perli/: You will share with me and my trusted advisors everything you can on this invasion. And we will work together to end this.

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan nodded, hope sparking in his dark blue eyes. He pulled up his holo maps, displayed them for the council. The commanding officer pointed out every location that was currently being invaded by this alien species, what colonies were now destroyed, which ones were of risk of being next. Lastly, he brought to their attention the headquarters where they believed prisoners were being held... it wasn't too far from this village./

/Ivan/: Our mission was to save the prisoners... and with more numbers, we hoped to win the war. But the more time that passes, the more men we lose. We need our men who are imprisoned, but we now need more.

/He looked to the council, eying their expressions, wondering if what he said was enough/

[Makastar]

/Perli raised a brow at his words/

/Perli/: Our forces are quite different from your warriors. Do you believe you could help command an army so vastly different from your own.

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan pondered a moment before shaking his head/

/Ivan/: You're right. Our armies are vastly different. Your commanding leaders will need to work with your armies... and I will need to work with your commanding leaders. We've shared this planet for more than twenty years... We're going to need to work together to keep it safe.

[Makastar]

/Perli held a toothy grin as she nodded/

/Perli/: So I take it you will be the commanding officer for your troops? You will take responsibility for your people?

[Jamie Canyon]

/Ivan/: Y-yes...
