Using the direct log in link(Audience.FusionFall.blahblahblahURLstuff) no longer works, if that's what you mean.

Try going to the front page, click 'log in', wait for the pseudo-popup to load on the page and enter your username and password. It'll ask if you read and agree to the EUALA and select a screen-name.

If they went in and removed NPC's on purpose and put them back in later, the game would have to reload those files as it would during a patch. The server files could just be corrupted or something.
