Silver and Alice Side Story

[Silver Kid]

-Banko opened his eyes and looked to Alice, straight in her eyes-

“Have you seen him?” He asked. “These stories don’t affect you like when Ash and Zoey told them. Have you seen him? Like. As a....” he shook his head, dare not saying the word “ghost.”

[Makastar]

/Alice frowned at his questions before raising to her feet, patting a hand on his shoulder before vanishing from the room. Rex was already on his feet, glancing towards where she departed with a sigh/

/Rex/: Sorry, this conversation has to continue later on...Ruby, could you watch over our guest for a little while?

/Ruby nodded as her father and brother both departed the room as well, leaving her with their guest/

/Ruby/: I don't think Mom can give you an answer to some of your questions...I don't think she knows the answers herself...

[Silver Kid]

-Banko shook his head and looked down-

“I feel like she either has and won’t say it, or hasn’t but doesn’t wanna like. Let me down? I just wanna know if there’s... even a single trace of him left.” He said, putting his fingers on the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes and sighing

[Makastar]

/Ruby/: Possibly. I don't have an answer to that either I'm afraid.

/She glanced towards the boy before smiling/

/Ruby/: I'm here for ya though.

[Silver Kid]

-Banko chuckled a bit and smiled. He looked up at the girl and shook his head-

“For the life of me I’ll never understand why.” He smiled wryly. “We only just met.”

[Makastar]

/Ruby/: I've always said that it doesn't matter how long someone's been in your life...it's the connections you make. We're friends now and I'll help you out any way I can.

[Silver Kid]

-Banko nodded a bit and rubbed the back of his neck. He was never used to having friends. His grandmother always sheltered him in fear of his power. That others would try and hurt him and hunt him if they knew his power. He appreciated that others knew how he felt though. Special people. He looked out the window and stared for a few seconds-

“Why did your mother leave?” He asked

[Makastar]

/Ruby shrugged as she watched him intently/

/Ruby/: It's probably hard on her just as much as it is for you.

[Silver Kid]

-Banko looked around the house and saw a picture on the wall. It was of the original group. Silver, Alice, Zoey and Ash all stood smiling. They looked much younger. This picture had to have been taken years and years ago-

“They all look so much different...” He said. “And happier...”

[Makastar]

/Ruby smiled at the thought/

/Ruby/: We rarely ever see anyone from my parent's past. But yeah, the pictures I've seen of them all together. They were happier once. However, I guess things kept happening and eventually everyone broke off from each other. It was too much for everyone.

[Silver Kid]

-Banko rubbed the base of his nose and pondered for a moment-

“I heard they all slowly went their separate ways after a while. Silver had my mom and grandma to take care of. Ash and Zoey had a life, and your parents had you and your brother. But they all still kept in contact. But... his death changed them... they could never recover.. Ash went missing for so long... I think he blamed himself. Then Zoey’s in that hospital... him leaving broke her... and your parents just dropped off the face of the earth. Finding them with vague hints from Ash was no help.” He said, getting up and walking towards the window. “I never even knew about them being alive until recently. They wrote me this letter for when I was older. I never even opened it. Ash had one for me too. I don’t know why they didn’t just... see me... they weren’t even there when Mom died...” the boy bit his lip. He shook his head and looked down. “Maybe it was a mistake coming here. Your mom just left.. they don’t even want me here.”

[Makastar]

/Ruby/: I think they very much want you here. Or Mom wouldn't even speak to you at all. And Dad would have been the one to attack you. My brother...he isn't so sure about you. But it's clear from everyone else that you are wanted here Banko.

/The girl smiled over at him/

/Ruby/: You're wanted. And we're happy you're alive and here with us.

[Silver Kid]

-Banko furrowed his eyebrows and stood silent. He looked out the window and stared. He had no idea if he could trust these girls words but he wanted to-

[Makastar]

/Ruby grinned as she twirled around/

/Ruby/: So turn that frown upside down silly.

-Banko tapped on the door and looked at Ruby again. He wondered why he never knew that she was even alive, no one told him anything about her or her brother-

"Did you know I existed before this? Or about your mom's past with my grandfather? Have you just been sheltered here for years?" He asked
